Job Title: Human Resources Specialist Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Specialist to manage HR policies and strategies, including employee retention programs, trainings, DE&I programs, and more. This role is essential for building a solid foundation for the company's growth and ensuring the team runs efficiently. Responsibilities: • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. • Administer recruitment and hiring processes, including onboarding new employees and conducting orientations. • Provide support systems for payroll requirements using Paylocity. • Create and organize team-building activities. • Develop documentation and procedures for all HR functions, including employee statistics for government reporting and audits. • Support managers in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, and performance review processes. • Administer a salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization. • Advise management on employee relations issues in consultation with HRBP and leadership. • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR-related policies, procedures, and programs, including building maintenance issues. • Coordinate payroll, benefit administration, 401k, worker compensation, and other benefits with relevant partners. • Investigate accidents and prepare documentation and reports for insurance carriers. • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, including conducting exit interviews. • Maintain and organize employee files and track destruction dates for terminated employees. • Ensure punctual, regular, and predictable attendance. • Act as the first contact for scheduling maintenance and repair work on equipment or the building. • Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation and professionalism. • Display excellent communication skills, including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation abilities. Essential Skills: • Proficiency in human resources management, onboarding, and offboarding processes. • Strong knowledge of employee relations and HR compliance. • Experience in administrative support and use of Microsoft Office. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse groups of people. Additional Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or two to three years of related experience. • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred. • Notary certification preferred, or willingness to obtain. • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and governmental regulations. • Proficiency in mathematical skills and computer applications. • Strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems.
