Full Description

Job Title: Collections Clerk Job Description The Collections Clerk is responsible for managing day-to-day cash receipts from customers using Sage Intacct and other internal systems. This role involves handling customer communications related to invoice collection and addressing other inquiries. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, self-driven, and possess a meticulous eye for detail. Responsibilities • Analyze cash application and collection procedures to identify opportunities for improvement. • Prepare reports and provide cash collection trends for better cash flow management and enforcing billing deadlines. • Develop relationships with internal and external customers. • Perform detailed analysis to respond to internal and external questions regarding billing and invoicing. • Review daily incoming banking transactions and book them accordingly. • Prepare aging reports and update/reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. • Update and maintain customer records in the ERP system. • Proactively monitor and follow up on delinquent accounts in a timely manner. • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the manager. • Participate in audits, process documentation, and process improvement. • Manage the suspension and/or cancellation of accounts. • Inform Management/Account Management team regarding any potential issues and escalate situations as appropriate. Essential Skills • 2-4 years of accounts receivable and collections experience, preferably in a high-volume billing environment. • Self-motivated with an eye for process initiatives and improvement. • Solid understanding of accounts receivable and basic accounting policy. • Strong MS Office Suite skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with Intacct or other ERPs is a plus. • Highly organized and focused on follow-through with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments. • Ability to work in an open environment with cross-functional teams. • Strong communication and customer service skills with internal and external contacts. • Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant field. Work Environment This position offers a remote/hybrid working arrangement with a team of 7, preferably based in Utah or San Francisco for occasional office work. The role operates on a standard 8-5, Monday-Friday PST schedule. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lehi, Utah. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
