Purpose and Scope: The Global Process Owner for Supply Planning is responsible for defining, governing, and continuously enhancing the end-to-end supply planning process to ensure reliable product availability, efficient use of capacity, and optimized inventories across all regions and business units. The role sets global planning standards, methodologies, and parameters, and owns the design of the core and advanced planning processes, including constrained/unconstrained planning, rough-cut capacity planning, network allocation, and scenario planning. It serves as the primary business owner for supply planning systems and tools (including advanced/digital planning and AI/ML capabilities), ensuring they are configured, deployed, and used consistently to support high-quality decision making. The scope covers process design, documentation, training and certification of planners, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Global Process Owner works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, S&OP/IBP, and IT to drive integrated, data-driven planning and to embed digital and AI-enabled capabilities into day-to-day ways of working globally Responsibilities and Accountabilities: * Own the end-to-end global Supply Planning process design, standards, and documentation, ensuring consistent ways of working across all regions, plants, and business units. * Define and maintain global planning parameters and policies (e.g. lead times, minimum lot sizes, capacity assumptions, planning horizons, buffering strategies) and ensure they are applied consistently in all systems. * Establish and track key performance indicators for supply reliability, capacity utilization, production plan adherence, inventory effectiveness, and planner productivity; drive root-cause analysis and corrective action plans. * Act as primary business owner for supply planning systems and tools (including APS, network planning, and advanced optimization solutions), defining functional requirements, data standards, and the global enhancement roadmap. * Lead the design, deployment, and adoption of advanced planning capabilities, including digital workflows, scenario/simulation tools, and AI/ML-based forecasting, parameter setting, and decision-support. * Govern global process adherence through assessments, audits, and standard playbooks; challenge local deviations and ensure appropriate controls and compliance are in place. * Design and implement global training, onboarding, and certification programs for planners, building strong capabilities in core process execution and in using advanced and AI-enabled planning tools. * Identify, prioritize, and lead continuous improvement and simplification initiatives in supply planning, leveraging best practices, standardization, automation, and analytics. * Facilitate cross-functional alignment between Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and S&OP/IBP to ensure integrated decision-making and resolution of capacity and material constraints. * Provide regular insight and recommendations to senior leadership on supply risks, opportunities, trade-offs, and the overall maturity and performance of the global Supply Planning process. Qualifications Required * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field * 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, including leadership of regional or global planning teams. * Deep expertise in demand, supply, and inventory planning processes, with proven success in implementing integrated business planning (IBP) or S&OP frameworks. * Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including manufacturing, logistics, and procurement interfaces. * Proficiency with advanced planning and ERP systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, Anaplan, or equivalent). * Demonstrated ability to lead transformation initiatives, optimize planning processes, and deliver measurable improvements in service, cost, and working capital. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies. * Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration. * Strong communication and influencing abilities, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels, including executive leadership. * Fluency in English language (read, write, speak); multilingual communication skills are a plus. * Travel up to 30% of time.
