ASSYST is seeking a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to support our client project in Austin, TX. This is a remote position. Scope of work: We are seeking an experienced Senior Java / Spring Boot Developer to design and develop scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, micro services architecture, and cloud-native technologies, along with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members. This position works for section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases. This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports, in the service of Texas’s 1200 school districts. Design and build production Java applications and handle complex system architecture decisions, Documentation, Dev/Unit Testing and Participate in Agile development Required Experience: Strong experience with Java / J2EE development Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Framework Unit Testing Agile Preferred: Knowledge of JIRA/Bitubucket Experience with Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Experience in Nomad ASSYST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
