Job Description: • Identify and craft compelling stories that showcase Assurant’s market-leading innovation and customer focus • Develop and execute communications plans aligned with product and corporate strategy • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, analysts, and key stakeholders • Create press materials, statements, and messaging consistent with Assurant’s brand voice • Support executive thought leadership through events, podcasts, and high-impact channels • Collaborate across key partners to ensure consistent messaging and uncover story-worthy initiatives • Track and report on the impact of communications campaigns, providing actionable insights to inform strategy and measure success • Maintain resource and messaging library to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance • Contribute to a culture of agility and innovation by bringing new ideas that deliver measurable impact Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field • Minimum 2 years of experience in external communications, media relations, or PR (agency or in-house), including relevant internship experience • Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills with the ability to simplify complex information into clear, persuasive narratives • Experience developing media strategies, shaping messaging, creating compelling content and pitching stories • Strong project management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail Benefits: • 401K Match – Up to 6% dollar-for-dollar
