Role Summary As a Portfolio Manager VP-Corporate & Commercial, you will oversee underwriting, credit monitoring, and portfolio management for commercial and corporate banking relationships. Your work ensures the quality and growth of client portfolios while identifying new business opportunities. This role offers growth into senior leadership and the chance to shape client success. Key Accountabilities Manage credit risk and portfolio quality by analyzing financial data and loan requests to ensure compliance with policies. Partner with Relationship Managers to build and expand client relationships through cross-selling and referrals. Oversee loan repayment and portfolio administration, taking action on past due accounts as needed. Lead loan structuring, renewal processes, and participate in credit approval presentations. Collaborate with internal teams across Treasury Management, Private Banking, Capital Markets, and more to deliver comprehensive client solutions. Advise clients on market trends and banking products to support their business growth. Participate in community and industry functions to promote the bank’s presence and reputation. Education & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent experience) 4+ years in Commercial, Corporate, and/or Credit Approval experience 4+ years handling complex credit approvals Reliable transportation and lawful driving ability by start date Preferred: 2+ years sales experience 2+ years formal credit training CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification Why You’ll Love Working Here At Associated Bank, you’ll thrive in a culture that supports your growth and development while encouraging collaboration and innovation.
