Role Overview The Manager, Process Improvement is a strategic, execution-focused leader responsible for modernizing and optimizing Accounting & Finance operations. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, systems, and change management and will drive measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, controls, and scalability. You will lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives—assessing current-state workflows, identifying bottlenecks and risks, designing future-state solutions, and ensuring sustainable adoption across teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys translating ambiguity into structured, high-impact solutions. Process Optimization & Execution Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives across Accounting & Finance, with a focus on scalability, accuracy, and efficiency Assess current-state workflows (record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, reconciliations, close processes, etc.) and design optimized future-state solutions Identify automation, system enhancement, and digital transformation opportunities to reduce manual effort and operational risk Data, Metrics & Governance Define, implement, and monitor KPIs and SLAs to improve pipeline reliability, close velocity, and operational performance Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities Develop standardized process documentation, controls, and governance models aligned with audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements Change Leadership & Enablement Serve as a change champion—driving adoption through clear communication, training, and stakeholder engagement Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and training to embed a culture of continuous improvement Partner closely with Accounting leadership, Finance, IT, Compliance, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution Risk & Continuous Improvement Proactively identify risks associated with process changes and implement mitigation strategies Stay current on best practices, tools, and technologies in finance operations and process improvement Continuously evaluate and refine processes to support growth, audit readiness, and operational excellence Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Operations, or a related field 5+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or project management within Accounting, Finance, or a regulated environment Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Experience with process mapping, documentation, and improvement methodologies Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Preferred Qualifications Experience with finance transformation, automation, or system implementations Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, etc.) Experience supporting audit, compliance, or SOX-related process improvements Background in healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries Core Competencies Process Excellence & Systems Thinking Change Management & Stakeholder Influence Analytical Problem Solving Operational Risk Management Cross-Functional Collaboration Executive-Level Communication Continuous Improvement Mindset Why This Role Matters This role will have direct visibility and impact on how AssistRx scales its Finance & Accounting operations.
