Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a supportive environment. Responsibilities • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. • Provide personal care while maintaining client dignity and respect. • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions. • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with care plans. • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the living space, including laundry and light housekeeping tasks. • Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance overall well-being. • Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times. Requirements • Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred. • Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus. • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia is highly valued. • Ability to perform patient observation and monitor changes in health status effectively. • Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. • Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client support. • Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow instructions accurately is required. • A background in social work or nursing can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
