Full Description

About The Company Founders today are building global companies from day one — but the systems that manage their money were built for a different era. Aspire exists to change that! We’re building the financial operating system for global founders, bringing banking, software, and automation into a single platform so businesses can move faster across borders and stay focused on building. Aspire is built by people who think from first principles, care deeply about solving hard problems, and take real ownership of their work. Our team brings global experience from leading fintech and technology companies, and many of us are former founders and operators who understand what it takes to build thoughtfully, make trade-offs, and deliver at scale in a global environment. Backed by leading global investors including Y Combinator, Peak XV, and Lightspeed, Aspire has been trusted by more than 50,000 startups and growing businesses worldwide to manage their finances since 2018. Together with partners like J.P. Morgan, Visa, and Wise, we’re building for the next generation of global companies. About The Role We are looking for a high-energy Business Development Manager to join our growing fintech sales team. In this role, you will manage and convert qualified inbound leads into active customers for our financial solutions platform, which includes corporate cards, spend management, AP automation, and global payment solutions. You will be the first point of contact for prospective customers—educating them, diagnosing their business needs, and guiding them through the onboarding and activation process. This role requires a blend of consultative selling, product knowledge, and the ability to understand financial operations (payments, AP/AR, expense workflows). Responsibilities Leads Management : • Respond promptly and guide inbound deals for new AA conversion • Support lead inquiries from web forms, marketing campaigns, webinars, events, and referrals and conduct discovery engagement to understand the prospect’s business model, workflows, volume, entity structure, financial operations, and pain points. • Prioritize high-value deals and engage them with product value propositions. Consultative Sales • Clearly communicate how our financial platform (cards, AP automation, global payments, or FX) solves customer problems such as spend control, reconciliation challenges, disorganized vendor payments, multi-entity complexity, or cash-flow visibility. • Provide product walkthroughs and coordinate demos when needed. • Advise prospects on best practices for onboarding, compliance, and integration with accounting systems (Xero etc) • Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional modules. • Ensure all inbound SLAs and follow-up cadences are met. Collaboration • Collaborate closely with marketing to improve lead quality and conversion insights. • Provide feedback to Product, Risk, and Onboarding teams based on customer patterns and objections. Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in inbound sales, SDR/BDR, account advisor, or account executive roles. • Experience in fintech, SaaS, B2B payments, expense management, AP automation, banking, or similar industries is highly preferred • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills. • Excellent communication—clear, concise, and customer-centric. • Ability to understand financial operations (vendor payments, spend workflows, ledgers, reconciliation, approval matrices). • Comfortable managing high inbound volume while maintaining quality. • Tech-savvy: CRM (HubSpot), presentation tools, product demo tools. • Data-driven mindset with strong ownership of KPIs (conversion rate, response time, CRM hygiene). What We Offer • Work from anywhere • Uncapped flexible annual leave. • Training subsidy for your professional growth. • Team bonding budget to foster collaboration and sense of belonging. • Culture is Key: Most importantly, we always strive to cultivate a special culture that brings special talents together - You may learn more about our culture at our careers site and LinkedIn Life page.
