Job Title: Communications Manager Company Overview: ASIS International is a leading non-profit membership association dedicated to connecting and supporting security professionals worldwide. With over 34,000 members across 240 global chapters, ASIS is committed to advancing security through trusted thought leadership, education, and networking opportunities. Role Overview: As the Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering ASIS International's messaging and brand voice. You will be responsible for managing internal and external communications to enhance member engagement and promote the organization's mission globally. What You'll Do: - You will develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with ASIS International’s goals. - You will manage content creation for newsletters, press releases, social media, and the website. - You will coordinate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels. - You will oversee media relations and act as a spokesperson when necessary. - You will analyze communication metrics to optimize outreach and engagement. - You will organize and support communication efforts for events and campaigns. - You will maintain relationships with key stakeholders and media contacts. - You will lead a small communications team, providing guidance and support. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field. - Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail. - Proficiency in digital communication tools, including social media platforms and content management systems. - Experience managing media relations and crisis communications. - Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the security or non-profit sector. - Knowledge of global security issues and trends. - Skills in graphic design or multimedia content creation. - Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing strategies.
