About the Program: We are launching a pre-apprenticeship program designed to prepare individuals for careers in construction and the building trades. Participants in the program are 18+ with a high school diploma or GED, interested in entering the construction industry. The program offers No Charge, pre-apprenticeship training aligned with union and industry standards, including: • Hands-on instruction, classroom learning, and job-site exposure • Industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction, First Aid/CPR, Flagger & NCCER Certification • Wraparound support services during the program • Direct pathways to registered apprenticeships and job placement after completion We are committed to increasing diversity in the trades and encourage applications from women, people of color, and veterans. Position Overview: The Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator (ORC) is responsible for securing a consistent flow of program candidates, assessing eligibility, and facilitating the application and interview process. This role is critical in ensuring we recruit participants who are ready to succeed in the program and ultimately launch careers in construction. Responsibilities • Conduct outreach to potential program participants through community organizations, social media, and other channels. • Maintain a steady pipeline of leads to ensure program enrollment targets are met. • Conduct pre-screen assessments to determine participant eligibility and fit. • Ensure program applications are completed accurately and on time. • Conduct standardized interviews in collaboration with program staff to assess candidate readiness. • Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, applications, and interview results. • Work closely with program administrators, trainers, and support staff to align recruitment with program goals. Skills • Strong negotiation skills with experience in executive recruiting and campus recruitment. • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as Workday, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, or iCIMS; familiarity with Salesforce or ADP is a plus. • Excellent communication skills for engaging candidates via social media management, cold calling, and relationship management. • Knowledge of employment & labor law to ensure compliance during all stages of recruitment. • Experience with ATS platforms including Taleo and HRIS tools like Kronos or Paychex for effective applicant tracking and employee data management. • Ability to conduct interviews effectively while assessing talent fit through HR sourcing techniques. • Familiarity with training & development practices related to recruiting processes. • Strong research skills for market analysis and lead generation initiatives. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in employee orientation, contracts, employee evaluation, and internal recruiting efforts.
