ASI Government serves as a trusted adviser to government leaders seeking improved performance, enhanced organization effectiveness, and strategic change.  We are actively recruiting for a Communications Lead who will lead the design, implementation, and management of our state client’s communication strategy.  Responsibilities: * Manage the implementation of the existing integrated strategic and culturally responsive communications plan in accordance with the DCDEE Communications Transition Plan and NCDHHS Office of Communications procedures. * Provide client’s top priority communications needs, to include: 1. Design, implementation of Constant Contact or other similar platforms 2. Use/creation of graphics for communication materials 3. Development and implementation of video resource library  4. Management of media inquiries, press releases and inter-departmental communications at a high/state level * Integrate Raise NC campaign creative concept, framework and messaging across all communications deliverables * Support executive and senior leadership and provide expertise on all aspects of child development and early education communications strategy and execution, and work with staff to design and implement culturally responsive strategies that reach diverse audiences. * Provide project management for all aspects of communications plan for DCDEE’s efforts, including supporting DCDEE staff and cross-team initiatives, and working collaboratively with other Department vendors. * Work with all levels of staff to execute project requirements and manage stakeholder expectations. * Develop and execute on deliverables to be completed timely and accurately and track success of engagement and communications strategies against a set of key performance indicators. * Perform analysis of previous and current DCDEE communications methods to identify, understand, and define communications capabilities; recommend improvements or changes based on best practices and national exemplars; and leverage messages across those capabilities.  * In accordance with NCDHHS Office of Communications and DCDEE approval processes, draft, review and finalize public-facing content, such as but not limited to emails, newsletters, policy briefs, proclamations, internal and external announcements, social media content, etc. * Work collaboratively with NCDHHS Office of Communication, staff from other DHHS divisions, external advisory groups and organizations, and other Department vendors to execute project requirements and manage stakeholder expectations for all aspects of strategic communications to support DCDEE and NCDHHS early childhood care and education initiatives  * Under the direction of the Director’s Office leadership, support initiatives to improve and enhance communication and collaboration within DCDEE.  Requirements:  * Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a related field.  * Eight or more years’ experience providing communications strategy consulting for federal or state agencies, including designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring communications programs. * Experience drafting and implementing state communications materials. * Graphics experience. * Strong writer with proven experience writing hard-hitting state communications documents. * Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders to ensure communication outcomes are achieved across projects. * Deep knowledge base within early childhood education field. * Client-facing experience to include supporting client status meetings, follow-up with clients on next steps, and writing crisp and clear client communications.  LOCATION: Hybrid: Remote with ability to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina as needed.
