Job Description Ashland Railway, Inc. is a shortline railroad based in north-central Ohio, located between Cleveland and Columbus. We provide rail service to local clients and interchange with CSX Transportation, Norfolk Southern, and Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway. Our affiliate companies Skye Trucking and Mansfield Railport allow us to offer a complete logistics package to serve any client's needs. Ashland Railway is seeking an organized, reliable, and efficient administrative assistant to support the corporate office in Pennsylvania and serve as the operational connection between our Pennsylvania and Ohio offices. This role manages essential office functions, facilitates communication between Pennsylvania and Ohio offices, and efficiently processes invoices, bills, and other financial items as necessary. This is a full-time position with benefits. Initial training will be on-site in the Pennsylvania office, transitioning to a hybrid work schedule once training is complete. Job Responsiblities • Communication hub: serve as the primary contact in the Pennsylvania office, answering phones and interfacing with Ohio employees, vendors, and customers. Prioritize urgent client and employee needs. • Financial processing: input bills and invoices accurately within QuickBooks, and manage accounts payable and receivable • Data management: organize and maintain physical and electronic records of all necessary paperwork • Office management: handle general office tasks including purchase of office and kitchen supplies, mail processing, and coordination of maintenance requests / safety inspections • Paperwork processing: fill out and file necessary applications and forms as requested by Pennsylvania and Ohio office staff • All other duties as assigned Qualifications • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel (required) • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop accounting software (preferred) • High school degree or equivalent (required) • Associate or bachelor's degree (preferred) • Professional communication skills • Attention to detail • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks appropriately to meet deadlines Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: Hybrid remote in Pipersville, PA 18947
