Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for an Assistant Program Director Overview: A leading nursing education institution in Sacramento seeks an Assistant Program Director to provide site supervision and leadership for its nursing program. This role is central to the development, planning, coordination, and evaluation of all program activities. The successful candidate will assist the Administrative Nursing Director and Chief Academic Officer in implementing the overall program strategy and special projects, ensuring compliance with all state and BVNPT regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the admission process, student orientation, and ensure students meet graduation and licensing requirements. • Develop, implement, and evaluate all aspects of the nursing program, including policies, procedures, and curriculum. • Prepare and submit all required reports, proposals, and self-studies for state and Nursing Board compliance. • Recruit, hire, schedule, and mentor nursing faculty; facilitate regular faculty meetings. • Develop, maintain, and evaluate educational partnerships with clinical sites; manage clinical contracts and site safety assessments. • Serve as a liaison between the college, the community, and the Nursing Advisory Committee. • Monitor the quality of instruction and participate in program review, evaluation, and strategic planning. • Fulfill a 50% teaching commitment within the nursing program. Requirements: • Education: • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from an approved school. • Must have completed a course in administration, teaching, and curriculum development. • Hold a current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California. • Experiences: • Minimum of (3) years of direct nursing experience as an RN. • A minimum of (3) years of experience in nursing administration, nursing education, or a combination of teaching and clinical supervision within the last five years. • Preferred Qualifications: • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). • 3+ years of leadership experience. • 3+ years of experience as a Nursing Instructor (Vocational Nursing or RN). • 1+ year of experience as a Clinical Instructor. • Based in or willing to relocate to Sacramento, CA. • Other: • In-depth knowledge of BVNPT rules and regulations governing vocational nursing programs. • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to prepare detailed reports and represent the program to external agencies. Compensation and Benefits: • Salary: $100,000 to $125,000 Annually commensurate with experience and qualifications. • Benefits: A comprehensive benefits package is offered. Schedule: • Full-time: 40 hours per week. • Work arrangement: On-site at the institution.
