Mission: The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in leading high-visibility cybersecurity and IT transformation initiatives. This leader brings executive presence, business acumen, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity—turning complex challenges into structured outcomes. With a focus on delivery excellence, account expansion, and customer success, the Senior Project Manager ensures our clients achieve meaningful outcomes while strengthening long-term relationships. Responsibilities: Lead large-scale client project delivery engagements, ensuring scope, timeline, and outcomes are achieved. Partner with executive stakeholders to influence direction, manage expectations, and communicate program risks, trade-offs, and achievements. Drive clarity and accountability in ambiguous or complex situations, establishing structure and measurable outcomes. Inspire and direct project teams (Ascent and client resources) to deliver with excellence and urgency. Identify and advance opportunities for account expansion by aligning project delivery to client business strategy. Manage project scope, budget, forecasts, and contractual change requests with rigor and transparency. Establish and track program metrics, reporting performance to both internal leadership and client executives. Ensure Ascent’s PMO best practices are applied and continuously refined to meet evolving client needs. Contribute to the growth and maturity of Ascent’s Project Management practice through knowledge sharing and process improvement. Qualifications: 8+ years of project/program management experience, with at least 5 years leading complex IT or cybersecurity initiatives. Consulting or professional services background. Cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, or digital modernization project leadership. Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence C-level stakeholders. Proven success delivering multi-million-dollar programs in enterprise or consulting environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to operate independently and inspire cross-functional teams. Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflict, and drive accountability toward critical dates. Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools: Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc. Scrum/Agile methodology experience. Preferred Technical Abilities: Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and Microsoft solutions (e.g., Entra ID, M365, Azure). Experience creating and reporting project and program-level metrics.
