Responsibilities • Direct the implementation of clinical policies and strategies to optimize APP services across all practice models. • Partner with Nursing leadership to develop and evaluate the organization's mission and strategic plans for inpatient and outpatient care. • Establish and maintain a consistent APP leadership structure for organizational oversight and support. • Drive continuous improvement through methodical clinical program evaluation and the integration of new knowledge. • Oversee standardized guidelines to ensure safe, cost-effective care that meets all regulatory and APP scope of practice requirements. • Recommend guidelines for resource allocation to support APP education and professional development. • Collaborate with medical leadership to establish guidelines for APP performance evaluations, competency assessments, and improvement planning to ensure consistent expectations. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: • One or more of the following required: • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. • Nurse Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. In states where it applies RN license must be held concurrent to Advanced Practice license. • Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: • Education appropriate for licensure held: Master's degree of Nursing or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant Program. WOrk Experience: • 5 years of experience required. • 10 years of experience preferred. • 2 years of leadership or management experience required. • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred Additional Preferences In addition to serving as the National APP Director, the hired incumbent will also work Clinically for a cumulative 1.0 FTE.
