Role Overview: As a Grants Pre-Award Financial Analyst at Ascension, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial aspects of grant proposals and research funding. You will collaborate with researchers and administrative teams to ensure accurate budgeting, compliance, and timely submission of grant applications. What You'll Do: - You will prepare and review detailed budgets for grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funding agency guidelines. - You will analyze financial data to support pre-award activities and provide recommendations for cost-effective resource allocation. - You will collaborate with principal investigators and research staff to gather necessary financial information. - You will ensure compliance with institutional policies and sponsor requirements throughout the pre-award process. - You will assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation for grant submissions. - You will maintain accurate records of grant-related financial transactions and communications. - You will support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures related to grants. - You will communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth grant processing. What You Bring: - You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. - You have at least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in grants management or research administration. - You possess strong knowledge of budgeting principles and financial reporting. - You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial management software. - You have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - You demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a healthcare or academic research environment. - Familiarity with federal grant regulations and compliance requirements. - Knowledge of grant management systems such as InfoEd or Cayuse. - Certification in grants management or financial analysis.
