As the Director of Product Delivery, you will be in an engineering leadership role that focuses on Delivery. Specifically, you will be responsible for the planning, monitoring, execution, and reporting of projects and programs that deliver value to large scale digital products. You will drive operational excellence within the software engineering team through robust budgeting, contract, and process management. You will hire great talent and manage a team of product delivery leaders. Success in your role will ensure successful program execution and delivery of products according to project timelines. You are fully accountable for creating a culture of delivery excellence and managing the growth and development of the delivery leaders and scrum masters within the organization. Responsibilities: • Engineering Delivery Strategy • Lead multiple technical delivery programs (software, infrastructure, integrations, etc.) with responsibility for scope, timeline, budget, and quality. • Recommend processes and tools to drive budgeting, planning, monitoring and reporting of delivery, release, and operations of products that vary in size, scope, and reach. • Define metrics to track the success of product delivery. • Strategic Program Delivery • In partnership with the PMO, lead the creation of an overall program plan for the strategic, tile-wide programs and own the end-to-end execution of those plans. • Manage cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, operations, product, program, marketing, and vendor partners. • Define and optimize how teams operate on the ground by implementing structured delivery frameworks, stage-gate reviews, discovery standards, and cross-organizational collaboration practices that drive operational excellence. • Report on program status including plan tracking, RAID, resource, and cost dimensions. • Monitor project metrics, KPIs, and performance; use data to drive continuous improvement. • Accountable for driving the resolution of dependencies, risks, and issues for the program; make high-judgement decisions and escalate as appropriate to drive program outcomes based on product and leadership priorities. • Budgeting and Forecasting • Collaborate across disciplines to complete annual opex and capex budgeting. • Monitor burn and forecast in support of finance reporting. • Contract Support • Support service provider and tools contract reviews. • Talent Management • Ensure proper staffing and resource planning across the product delivery organization for your assigned pods. • Mentor, support, cultivate, and manage a strong team of Scrum Masters and contractors to deliver against tile strategies. • Build and grow the delivery team to develop top talent and ensure delivery success. • Create a positive team environment where autonomy, mastery, and purpose are promoted through coaching, individual development, and performance standards. • Product Delivery Thought Leadership • Contribute to the development of the Agile Project Management craft and community through training and mentoring others, knowledge sharing, and stewarding best practices. What You Will Need: Education: • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management. Additional Preferences: • 10+ years of overall software product delivery experience with 5+ years of experience in managing teams. • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex, technology initiatives on time and within budget. • Understanding of Content Management System fundamentals - content delivery, content lifecycle and governance, content modeling, indexing/searching, caching etc. • Experience in managing program delivery involving headless/JSS/composable architectures. • Familiarity with delivering custom web and native iOS and Android apps. • Experience in partnering closely with business stakeholders, product owners, marketing, and digital teams to ensure alignment between technical delivery and business objectives. • Strategic and forward-thinking with a deep understanding of and thought leadership in Digital technology, product delivery, and the healthcare industry. • Demonstrated experience navigating a large organization; ability to influence with storytelling and data. • Experience leading and managing digital transformation programs involving both associate and vendor teams, while delivering value iteratively. • Comfortable presenting to senior GMDx leaders. • Experience establishing, organizing, and managing a portfolio of work and leveraging KPIs to measure and drive continuous improvement with a focus on improving flow, quality, and value realization. • Experience with a distributed delivery model including blended onshore remote and offshore team members. Experience leading diverse teams including experience managing and collaborating with cross-discipline teams. • Deeply rooted in Agile, Lean, and continuous delivery principles that maximize the flow of value with a passion to extend this understanding throughout GMDx. • Effective leadership, analytical skills, and negotiation skills. • Strong conflict resolution skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
