What We Offer • Weekly Pay of $19.00-$21.00 per hour • Direct deposit & debit card payment options • Health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance • Get weekends off • Temp-to-hire opportunity Forklift Driver Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do) • Provide superior customer service in yard operation; answers customers’ questions and concerns regarding orders and retrieves orders • Assists in gathering materials to build loads/orders- Forklift certified • Assist truck drivers to load various building supplies onto trucks for delivery • Operate the yard forklifts once training and certification has been achieved • Help unload transport trucks with product for the store and yard • Be knowledgeable about all products stored in the yard. Retail or wholesale lumber yard experience needed • Practice proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to yard inventory • Keep the yard area clean and presentable in appearance • Executes and understands the importance of time management, standards of operating procedures, owner’s manuals and product/warning labels • Assists in keeping inventory stocked with proper materials-Knowledge of wood and plywood species preferred • Operates with a strict awareness of all safety Forklift Driver Shift Info • Day Shift, 07:00 am to 4:00 pm • Day Shift 09:00 am- 6:00 pm • Monday - Friday Forklift Driver Qualifications (Requirements / Skills) • Knowledge of various material-handling equipment an asset • Proficient in mathematics • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations • Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace • Current forklift license and certification • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted • Able to work night, weekends, and holidays • Able to work in a fast-paced environment • Able to work independently • Material Handler experience preferred • Able to pass a background check • Able to work in the US Apply today, Material Handler - Hiring Immediately essential jobs near Olympia typically fill quickly!
