Perform account reconciliation, payroll processing, tax filing, accounts receivable and payable management, financial reporting, and support budgeting and compliance.
Proven bookkeeping experience, proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks and Excel, strong GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective communication.
Looking for someone with a flexible schedule. We need 8-12 hours weekly. Duties: - Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records - Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations - Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues - Provide technical accounting expertise to support financial decision-making - Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and customer communication - Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of wages and deductions - Assist in budgeting process by providing financial data and analysis - Prepare financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies - Handle accounts payable, including vendor management and payment processing - Familiarity with governmental accounting principles and practices Experience: - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role - Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel & Quickbooks) - Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
