Full Description

We’re looking for a Backend Software Engineer to build and ship products with our team. You’ll work on the systems behind our products, from APIs and databases to integrations and production infrastructure. You’ll have high ownership, move quickly, and help take products from prototype to launch. Our main stack is Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, and MongoDB. What you’ll do Build backend systems and APIs from scratch Develop services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js Design and work with databases, primarily MongoDB Build scalable and reliable backend architecture Integrate APIs, AI models, payment systems, and third-party services Design authentication, authorization, and data flows Deploy, monitor, and maintain production applications Work closely with frontend, product, and design teams Prototype, test, iterate, and ship quickly Debug and improve existing systems as products scale What we’re looking for Strong experience with Node.js Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills Experience with Express.js or similar backend frameworks Strong experience with MongoDB and database design Experience building and shipping production APIs Good understanding of REST APIs and web architecture Understanding of authentication, security, and backend best practices Experience integrating third-party APIs and services Comfortable working independently and taking ownership Strong problem-solving skills Someone who enjoys building from zero to one Nice to have Experience building AI/LLM products Experience with Next.js or full-stack applications Experience with PostgreSQL or other databases Experience with cloud platforms and deployment Experience with Docker and CI/CD Experience with queues, caching, or background jobs Experience building consumer products Open-source contributions or personal projects What you’ll get Fully remote High ownership Work directly on new products from day one Small, fast-moving team Close collaboration with product and frontend Freedom to experiment and ship The opportunity to build products used by real users
