Introduction We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an Application Security Coordinator. This role involves managing and coordinating application security projects, ensuring that security measures are integrated effectively within development processes. Required Skills & Qualifications • Proven experience in managing application security or cybersecurity projects. • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and security integration. • Excellent organizational and time management skills for handling multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or MS Project. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to track metrics and KPIs related to application security initiatives. • Experience managing remote and cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills & Qualifications • Familiarity with application security tools and processes, including DAST, SAST, and container scanning. • Understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance standards such as OWASP and NIST. • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and security in DevOps environments. • Ability to create dashboards and reports for executive-level visibility. • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or CISSP, particularly security-related, are a plus. Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Plan and manage application security work, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved. • Coordinate cross-functional meetings with security engineers, analysts, and development teams. • Capture and distribute meeting notes, action items, and decisions promptly. • Track and report project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders. • Maintain project documentation, timelines, and dashboards for visibility. • Drive issue resolution and escalation for blockers impacting delivery. • Support knowledge transfer activities between outgoing consultants and incoming contractors. • Ensure alignment with organizational security goals and compliance requirements.
