Senior Full Stack Engineer Angular & Go | Healthcare Product Development | Contract-to-Hire Remote (U.S.) · Full-time, 40 hrs/wk · U.S. Citizenship Required ABOUT ARSENAL AI Arsenal AI is a Pittsburgh-based venture studio and AI consulting firm. We build and invest in AI-native companies, and we embed engineering teams directly with our clients to ship production software. THE OPPORTUNITY We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a product development team building core features for a fast-growing healthcare technology platform. The work is weighted toward the front end — most of your time goes to the Angular application clinicians use, with Go services behind it — and you set the technical standard for a growing team. This is a contract-to-hire role. You join as a W2 employee of Arsenal AI working full-time on the client's engineering team, with a path to convert to a full-time role with the client based on performance and business need. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Front-end ownership: Own the Angular application, from component architecture and state management through to the interface clinicians use every day. • Full stack delivery: Ship features end to end, from PostgreSQL data models through Go services to the Angular UI. • API design: Design and build RESTful APIs that power the platform and its integrations. • Technical direction: Make architecture decisions and improve development workflows for long-term scalability. • Code review and mentorship: Review code and mentor engineers across the stack to maintain high standards. • Production support: Troubleshoot production issues and ensure reliability across the platform. • Agile delivery: Participate fully in sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Production experience with a major front-end framework — Angular, React, or Vue. We work in Angular and prefer Angular experience, but strong experience in another framework is fine. • Backend experience in Go, or in a comparable statically typed language such as Java, C#, or Kotlin. Prior Go experience is not required. • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs — not only consuming them • Experience running services in a major cloud — AWS, GCP, or Azure — and a solid grasp of system design and relational databases. Prior AWS experience is not required. • Experience reviewing code and mentoring other engineers TECH STACK Angular · TypeScript · Golang · AWS · PostgreSQL · Jenkins You should recognize everything on this list. You do not need production experience in all of it — we expect you to pick up the parts you have not used before. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS This engagement supports a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs contract. These are federal contract requirements, not internal company policy. Please confirm you can meet all three before applying. • U.S. citizenship • A REAL ID-compliant driver's license AND a valid U.S. passport — both are required for federal identity proofing through NextGenID PresenceID • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening prior to your start date WHY THIS ROLE • Technical ownership: You set architectural direction on a platform that is actively scaling. • Lead without leaving the code: Mentorship and review are part of the role, but you stay hands-on. • A path to full-time: Strong performers convert to full-time roles with the client. • Work that matters: Healthcare software determines whether clinicians have what they need when it counts.
