Business Analyst (Native/Fluent Spanish Speaker) Location: California (Remote/Hybrid depending on client requirements) Type: Contract 1 Year Spanish Fluency: Mandatory Requirement We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong communication skills and native/fluent Spanish proficiency to support our CalSAWS initiatives. This role will work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, improve business processes, and support system enhancements across multiple functional areas. About the Role:The Business Analyst will assist in researching and assessing business goals, documenting requirements, developing test scenarios, and ensuring alignment between IT solutions and business needs. This is a client-facing role requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, designing, and documenting business processes. Analyze and document business requirements; translate them into functional specifications. Create conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates. Support development of systems requirements documentation and test scenarios. Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and explore solution options. Execute system tests and assist in analyzing test results. Participate in technical reviews to ensure changes align with project intent. Collaborate with technical and functional teams across multiple workstreams. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred 3+ years of Business Analysis experience Experience working with IT teams and functional business units Experience with business process analysis and re-engineering Familiarity with programming concepts and basic technical language Additional Qualifications Native or Fluent Spanish speaker (mandatory) Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interfacing with clients Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical/problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment Strong presentation and documentation skills Proficiency with business and PC software tools Willingness to travel as needed Work Environment Office or hybrid environment depending on client needs Collaborative, fast-paced public-sector IT modernization team
