Full Description

Position: Maternal Health Program Manager Purpose of the Position: The Maternal Health Program Manager is a full-time grant supported position. Participates in the leadership of the Maternal Health program and works in collaboration with other state agencies/departments and grant partners as appropriate. Works with healthcare teams to facilitate quality improvement on focused maternal health clinical topics. Conducts day to day operation of activities related to AIM and maternal health. Reports to the Vice President, Workforce and Clinical Excellence. Functions as a resource for Arizona hospitals concerning Maternal Health Improvement Initiatives (including AIM) and supports all reporting requirements. • Initiates ongoing communication and training/coaching for hospitals including live learning sessions, coaching calls, webinars, and site visits for the AIM program • Develops collaborative relationships with key hospital staff and provides needed clinical subject matter expertise, coaching and resources • Develop and present clinical education presentations based on current evidence-based practice and completed action plans with follow-up intervention as needed • Assists with planning kick-offs for new activities and quarterly and annual meetings • Schedule, facilitate and participate in stakeholder site visits • Help to develop and administer hospital level AIM data surveys Program management. • Assist hospitals with data requirements • Work with key stakeholders to collect and submit data • Assist with the development and distribution of quarterly infographic reports for hospitals • Monitor trends and requirements for data submission and improvement on all required topics and measures • Analyzes hospital and statewide data to identify opportunities for improvement • Compiles and reviews organizations’ monthly data submissions in coordination with Vice President, Workforce and Clinical Excellence • Submit documentation about stakeholder’s contacts (in-person, site visits, coaching calls) • Ensures travel reimbursement forms with supporting documentation are submitted within five business days of travel • Support grant data reporting and deliverables Partners with other healthcare organizations that will contribute to the overall project goals and objectives. • Works collaboratively with AIM, ACOG, ADHS, and HRSA as well as other entities as identified Supports other workforce and Clinical Excellence program initiatives as directed. • Supports work related to WCE anchor programs as needed (e.g. quality awards and workforce). • Participate in all WCE team activities. Provide reports to the Vice President, Workforce and Clinical Excellence about the progress of assigned projects. • Meets periodically with Vice President, Workforce and Clinical Excellence to review progress and strategize needed interventions MINIMUM EDUCATION: Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other healthcare-related field required PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s Degree MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Healthcare experience in a hospital OB department within the last 5 years is required; two years of leadership experience required. Experience with implementing AIM bundles, maternal health quality initiatives or perinatal safety programs. Must have practical knowledge of quality management methods and their functional application in a hospital setting including data collection and reporting. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Prior process improvement and knowledge of quality improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar program or project management experience preferred.
