Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects, utilizing your expertise in construction estimating and project management. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver precise estimates that support successful project execution. Responsibilities • Develop comprehensive HVAC cost estimates for commercial construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other project documents. • Utilize possible estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed proposals. • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and pricing analysis to ensure competitive and accurate bids. • Collaborate with project management teams to review project scope, schedules, and budgets. • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms. • Assist in the evaluation of bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements. • Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to support cost control initiatives. • Prepare detailed bid packages, including scope of work, pricing, and contractual terms. • Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and related documentation for future reference. Qualifications • Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly within the HVAC or mechanical contracting industry. • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management practices. • Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or CAD software is highly desirable. • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. • Solid understanding of construction site operations and experience working on large-scale commercial projects. • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
