Get to Know Your Team: • Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit. Responsibilities The Cook is responsible for preparing food items under acceptable conditions as outlined under state and local regulatory standards and guidelines. The Cook will follow all established policies and procedures, and additionally, may be directed by the Executive Chef and/or Director of Food and Nutrition Services, to further assure that quality food services are provided at all times Qualifications Job Requirements: • Considerable knowledge of sanitation regulations and practices as applied to institutional kitchens Preferred Job Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • 1 year of experience in institutional food handling. • Culinary school graduate Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
