Description: Job Title: Medical Assistant – Quality Department This position is currently in Bloomfield but will be moving to Troy beginning of 2026 Position Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Quality Department. This role is essential in supporting our quality improvement initiatives by assisting with patient outreach, data collection, and process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for enhancing patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Interaction: • Make outbound calls to patients to schedule follow-ups, conduct health assessments, and gather feedback about their care experience. • Provide clear and accurate health information to patients, addressing concerns and directing them to appropriate resources when needed. • Assist with patient education initiatives, such as distributing materials on preventive care and chronic disease management. Quality Improvement Support: • Collect and document data for quality improvement projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction. • Collaborate with the Quality Team to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. Administrative Duties: • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and quality activities in the electronic health record (EHR) system. • Prepare and distribute reports for quality metrics and compliance audits. • Schedule meetings, track follow-up actions, and support the administrative needs of the Quality Department. Team Collaboration: • Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to enhance the patient experience and achieve quality goals. • Participate in team meetings to review progress, share insights, and propose solutions. Requirements: Qualifications Education & Certification: • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required. Experience: • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a clinical or quality-focused setting. • Experience with EHR systems and data entry. Skills & Competencies: • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a patient-friendly manner. • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
