Role SummaryArcQubit is seeking a Vice President of Communications to own the company’s narrative integrity, executive messaging, and communications governance as we scale. This role exists to ensure that how ArcQubit communicates matches the sophistication of what we are building. Our technology spans AI, quantum readiness, and enterprise security. The VP of Communications ensures these ideas are communicated with precision, credibility, and strategic intent across leadership, marketing, product, sales, and investor-facing contexts. This is a judgment-led senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and operating as a peer to the VP of Marketing. Marketing owns go-to-market strategy and execution. The VP of Communications owns narrative clarity, standards, and approval authority. Key ResponsibilitiesNarrative Strategy and Integrity • Define and maintain ArcQubit’s narrative principles across company, product, and executive communications • Protect against narrative drift, oversimplification, or misrepresentation • Serve as the approving authority on whether communications meet the company’s strategic and credibility standards Executive and Leadership Communications • Partner directly with the CEO on narrative clarity, messaging discipline, and external positioning • Review and approve executive communications, public statements, and high-visibility messaging • Ensure leadership communications are aligned across functions and audiences • Act as a trusted advisor in moments requiring precision, restraint, or elevated judgment Governance, Review, and Approval • Establish clear communications standards, guardrails, and approval thresholds • Review and approve high-impact communications created by Marketing, Product, and other teams • Provide strategic guidance and direction without drafting or executing materials • Exercise authority to pause or redirect communications that introduce risk or misalignment Cross-Functional Alignment • Operate as a narrative partner to Marketing, Product, Sales, and Leadership • Ensure communications reflect company strategy, market maturity, and audience expectations Required Qualifications • 15+ years of experience spanning communications, narrative strategy, enterprise sales, marketing leadership, or technical translation • Demonstrated experience translating highly complex or sensitive subject matter into executive- and enterprise-ready narratives without loss of accuracy, credibility, or intent • Background operating in environments where communication precision, discretion, and sound judgment were critical to outcomes, not just messaging effectiveness • Experience building and governing communications standards in early-stage companies where narrative decisions directly impact credibility, fundraising, and market entry • Experience advising executives or founders on messaging, positioning, and judgment calls • Strong executive presence and credibility with technical and commercial leaders Preferred Qualifications • Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, AI, cybersecurity, or emerging tech • Background in defense, intelligence, linguistics, or highly structured communication environments What Success Looks Like • ArcQubit maintains a clear, credible, and consistent narrative across all external and internal communications • Leadership messaging is aligned, disciplined, and trusted by investors, partners, customers, and employees • Marketing and go-to-market teams operate with speed and confidence due to well-defined narrative standards and approval thresholds • Complex technical concepts are understood by enterprise buyers and investors without oversimplification or loss of trust • Narrative and reputational risks are identified and addressed early, protecting credibility and supporting growth milestones Compensation and BenefitsThis position may or may not qualify for all compensation benefits.
