Guardian Angels Catholic School is seeking an energetic and dedicated fourth grade teacher to join our close-knit teaching family. Qualifications: • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate • Comfortable and competent teaching Math, English Language Arts, and/or Religion • Strong example of Catholic faith • Catechist certification (or willingness to attain certification) • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff Professional Responsibilities: • Embodies and promotes the mission and vision of Guardian Angels Catholic School. • Serves as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church. • Employs effective and well-established classroom management techniques. • Maintains a safe, clean, and comfortable classroom environment. • Engages students using best practice instructional strategies. • Promotes high levels of active student engagement and encourages student-led learning. • Implements a consistent and positive disciplinary approach that fosters self-direction and confidence; sets high expectations for student behavior and addresses inappropriate behavior effectively. • Assesses students' academic and social development. • Assists the administration in organizing, reviewing, and revising curriculum. • Develops well-crafted and purposeful lesson plans. • Applies differentiated instruction and assessment strategies to support achievement for all learners in a student-centered, collaborative environment. • Utilizes a variety of assessment tools to evaluate student understanding and adapts instruction accordingly. • Completes additional administrative, operational, and professional duties as assigned. • Maintains regular and effective communication with families and implements clear communication systems. • Attends monthly in-service training, staff meetings, and committee meetings as required. • Actively participates in professional learning teams, school committees, and grade-level discussions. • Maintains positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues. • Upholds confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.
