Job Summary: The Director of HR Operations is responsible for building, optimizing, and leading scalable HR operational frameworks that support a fast-growing, hospitality-focused organization. In this strategic role, you will architect end-to-end people processes, lead enterprise HR initiatives, enhance system capabilities, and ensure operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. This role blends process design, project leadership, change management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver consistent, efficient, and elevated employee experience. The ideal candidate brings deep HR operations expertise, a systems mindset, and experience standing up foundational processes, programs, and infrastructure in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Strategy * Build, standardize, and elevate HR operational frameworks to support organizational growth and efficiency. * Lead company-wide HR operational initiatives, including process optimization, policy modernization, and systems enhancements. * Develop scalable, team member-centric processes across the full team member lifecycle (onboarding, mobility, performance, separations, benefits/leaves, compliance, etc.). Process Design & Continuous Improvement * Own the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of HR processes, SOPs, and workflows. * Establish process governance, controls, and metrics to monitor effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities. Project & Change Management * Lead complex, cross-functional HR projects from planning to execution - including system upgrades, new program rollouts, and operational transformations. * Serve as the primary change leader, ensuring stakeholder alignment, communication effectiveness, and smooth adoption of new processes and tools. * Partner directly with field leadership and business units to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs. Systems, Data, & Technology * Partner closely with HRIS and IT to optimize HR systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, HubSpot, MindBody) and ensure technology supports efficient, high-quality operations. * Implement automation and system-driven solutions that reduce manual work and improve accuracy. * Develop and track operational KPIs, dashboards, and analytics for decision-making and process performance. * Oversee process integrity for compensation actions--including promotions, market adjustments, and other pay changes--to ensure alignment with policies and operational standards. * Support compensation cycle readiness by ensuring systems, workflows, and documentation are accurate and updated. * Collaborate with payroll to ensure smooth handoff of HR data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and improve upstream processes that impact pay. Compliance, Policy, & Governance * Ensure all HR processes align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards. * Maintain documentation, controls, and operational readiness for audits and compliance reviews. * Serve as a subject matter expert for HR operations processes across the organization. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management * Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and business leaders to co-create efficient, user-friendly processes. * Serve as a trusted advisor and operational expert to HR and business leadership. * Develop and deliver training, toolkits, and communications to enable consistent adoption across teams. * Support compensation and pay-related processes by partnering with HR leadership and Payroll to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of all pay-impacting actions. * Qualifications Education (Preferred but not required): * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. * Advanced degree or relevant certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, PMP) a plus. Experience: * 10+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations or People Operations, including leadership of multi-stakeholder initiatives. * Proven success designing, implementing, and scaling HR processes in high-growth or multi-site environments. * Experience leading cross-functional projects and change initiatives at the enterprise level. * Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Skills: * Strategic thinker with strong operational discipline and execution capability. * Expertise in process mapping, documentation, and business process reengineering. * Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. * Data-driven mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. * Ability to influence and lead at all organizational levels with minimal oversight. * Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
