Candidates without this link will not be considered. • Step 2: If selected to move forward you will be invited to a 30-minute virtual (on camera) with a member of our recruitment team. • Step 3: If selected, you’ll be invited to a 30- minute virtual (on camera) interview with the Executive Producer. • Step 4: If selected, you’ll be invited to complete a project and will receive raw assets to work with. • Step 5: If selected to move forward, you’ll attend a 1-hour virtual interview with both the Executive Producer and the Creative Director. The base salary for this position starts at $65,000 annually, with potential for higher compensation based on experience, skills, and other job-related factors. Location: Remote- You must reside in one of these states for consideration: AR, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IA, LA, MD, MO, NC, NV, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA. No other places of residence will be considered. The Position: The Podcast Editor will craft weekly narrative episodes that translate Arbinger’s insights on leadership and workplace transformation into compelling, story-driven audio. As a seasoned storyteller, the role will focus entirely on editing, narrative construction, and sound design to efficiently create audio documentaries. The Podcast Editor is responsible for curating content from interviews conducted by other Arbinger interviewers into thematic episodes in a way that addresses the needs of business leaders. Roles and Responsibilities • Perform regular self-assessments using Arbinger’s internal 3A+ tool to gauge and enhance individual performance and impact (we embrace curiosity, feel free to ask us about this). • Create and edit episodes that follow the theme, format, and overall direction of the podcast. • Creatively edit each episode by utilizing Arbinger’s interview library which contains interviews hosted by various team members. • Exhibit strong research and script-writing abilities to fill content gaps in episodes in relevant, engaging, and on-brand ways. • Expertly add sound design and mix the audio to create an audio documentary feel to each episode. • Collaborate closely with the Executive Producer to ensure episodes align with overall editorial direction, marketing goals, and audience needs. • Proactively solve creative and technical challenges throughout the editing process. • Maintain a consistent release cadence by delivering high-quality episodes on schedule. • Other duties as assigned. Required Capabilities • Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to tailor content to our overall audience of business leaders while highlighting the nuance of the different industries we work with. • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding and appreciation for our customers. • Deep understanding of pacing, structure, and narrative flow in documentary-style audio. • Strong editorial judgment and creativity in shaping stories from raw material. • Proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Audition, ProTools, Descript, or similar) • Demonstrates exceptional composure and clarity of thought even in high-stress situations, ensuring effective decision-making and leadership. • Excels in building and maintaining relationships, effectively conveying ideas, and attentively understanding others, fostering a collaborative and harmonious work environment. • Possesses the ability to critically assess situations, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, driving organizational success. Preferred Capabilities • A strong sense of urgency and responsiveness with the ability to multitask. • Project management capabilities. • Skilled in long-term planning and visioning, aligning goals and resources to achieve overarching objectives, and ensuring sustainable growth and competitive advantage. Preferred Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • 2+ years of recent (within the last 6 months) podcast editing experience required.
