Position Summary: Aquinas College is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Payroll Specialist to support the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. Working remotely, this position will process biweekly and monthly payrolls for College employees through ADP, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and institutional policies. The Payroll Specialist plays a key role in supporting the College’s commitment to fairness, accuracy, and service to our campus community. Key Responsibilities: * Accurately process and transmit biweekly payroll for up to 400 employees and monthly payroll for up to 250 employees using ADP. * Review and verify timecards, leave balances, earnings, deductions, and benefits to ensure proper payment and compliance. * Maintain employee payroll records and process adjustments such as new hires, terminations, rate changes, and benefit updates. * Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for review by Human Resources, Accounting and Finance. * Respond kindly and professionally to employee payroll-related questions. * Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll, wage and hour, and tax regulations. * Assist with process improvements and system updates within ADP as needed. Qualifications: * Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably using ADP Workforce Now. * Demonstrated knowledge of payroll regulations and tax reporting requirements. * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business applications. * Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines in a remote setting. Work Schedule: * Part-time, remote position averaging 10–20 hours per week. * Hours vary depending on payroll cycles; additional time may be required during reporting or year-end periods.
