Visit us at www.apx-enclosures.com Position Summary: The Sales Representative – New Business Development will be responsible for driving growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new customers and projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is focused on expanding our market presence, developing a strong customer base, and showcasing the company’s unmatched expertise in UL listed enclosures, fabrication and machining capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, results-driven professional with a strong technical aptitude and a proven track record of generating new business in manufacturing or related industries. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow new business opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic territory (Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey) • Identify, prospect, and qualify new customers through networking, cold calling, trade shows, referrals, and digital outreach. • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline while focusing on territory penetration and account development. • Deliver tailored presentations, proposals, and quotes that effectively communicate value-added manufacturing solutions. • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and production teams to ensure accurate pricing and feasible project timelines, as well as to close key sales. • Negotiate terms, close deals, and establish long-term partnerships with new customers. • Maintain an in-depth understanding of company capabilities, industry trends, and competitive landscape within the region. • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. • Provide weekly pipeline & territory reports, including customer feedback, market opportunities, and competitive activity. • Use CRM database to track all leads, prospecting, calls and customer meetings. Qualifications: • Associates or Bachelors degree in Marketing, Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience. • 3+ years of sales experience, with a focus on new business development in the manufacturing space. Knowledge of precision machining, fabrication, or UL listed enclosures a plus. • Demonstrated success developing a regional sales territory, preferably in the Mid-Atlantic. • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and customer requirements. • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently. • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems a plus. • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Mid-Atlantic region to meet with prospects and attend industry events.
