Role Description We are seeking a Director of Credentialing and Compliance Operations to build, lead, and scale the credentialing infrastructure supporting the Integrated Critical Staffing Program (ICSP) — a nationwide healthcare staffing initiative with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, low-ego, high-output environment. • Oversee a distributed credentialing and compliance team • Architect scalable workflows • Drive implementation of new technology solutions that elevate speed, accuracy, and regulatory compliance • Build structure from complexity • Pair strategic vision with operational precision • Inspire teams to execute flawlessly under pressure Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations, credentialing, or compliance • 3+ years leading teams or process improvement initiatives • Demonstrated success designing and implementing scalable, technology-driven workflows in a regulated environment • Deep understanding of Joint Commission, VA, NCQA, or comparable credentialing and compliance frameworks • Proven ability to direct and motivate a remote team in a fast-moving, high-accountability setting • Strong project management, analytical, and systems-thinking skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex requirements with clarity and authority • Experience leading change and fostering alignment across departments and stakeholders Requirements • Experience credentialing for federal healthcare contracts or the Department of Veterans Affairs • Familiarity with credentialing or workflow systems such as Symplr, iCIMS, HireRight, or HSH • Background in process automation, compliance technology, or operations modernization • Certifications such as CPCS, CPMSM, or Lean/Six Sigma highly desirable Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Compliance, or Operations Management • Equivalent combination of education and progressive leadership experience may be considered
