Job Overview: As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist at APTIM, you will prepare technical and compliance reports, conduct regulatory and technical analyses, and present findings and solutions to clients and regulatory agencies. You'll perform diverse fieldwork, including sampling, inspections and audits. You'll apply your expertise to both standard and unique situations, ensuring environmental standards are met across projects. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: * Provides technical support to clients in a variety of work scopes including but not limited to: environmental site assessments, monitoring, permitting, regulatory reporting, asbestos surveys, noise surveys, database entry, procedure writing, and safety evaluations. * Collects and interprets samples. * Executes field work, within project schedule and budgetary goals, and supervises contractors. * Conducts work independently or as part of a project team and can adjust to rapidly changing site conditions or client requirements. * Adheres to established health and safety policies and procedures and executes work in a safe and conscientious manner. * Supports environmental and safety permitting and permit compliance projects. * Drafts technical documents for regulatory agencies and private clients. * Understands technical concepts, evaluation results, plans, reports, and ensures conformance to applicable technical standards as well as company policies and procedures. * Manages own schedule and balances multiple priorities to meet project targets and deadlines. * Utilizes best practices and knowledge of internal and external business systems to improve products or services as a collaborative member of the APTIM team. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
