Design and manage advanced TAR and analytics workflows, lead large document reviews, and advise on privilege and budget strategies in complex litigation.
7+ years of dedicated eDiscovery experience with expertise in TAR, analytics, privilege law, and team leadership.
Senior eDiscovery Attorney An international law firm is expanding its eDiscovery and advanced review practice, supporting complex litigation and investigations where technology and defensibility are critical. This is a senior, hands-on role for an attorney who operates at a strategic level - designing workflows and leading on TAR and AI-assisted review. You’ll play a central role in shaping how advanced review technologies - including TAR, analytics, and Generative AI - are defensibly deployed across high-stakes litigation and investigations. The role combines technical depth, legal judgment, and leadership, with significant visibility across partners, clients, and firm leadership. Working arrangement: This is a hybrid role, 4 days per week in the office. Key Responsibilities of this Sr eDiscovery Attorney Role: • Design, build, and manage advanced TAR and analytics workflows at scale, including sampling, validation, statistical defensibility, and metrics. • Act as a subject-matter authority on how established TAR methodologies inform and evolve into Generative AI–driven review strategies. • Lead and oversee large, complex document reviews, managing associates, contract attorneys, review teams, and litigation technology professionals. • Own privilege strategy end-to-end, including privilege review management, privilege log drafting, negotiation, and defensible methodology design. • Advise on and manage eDiscovery budgets, forecasting costs across matters of varying size, scope, and risk profile. • Evaluate, select, and collaborate with eDiscovery service providers, including review of vendor contracts, statements of work, and RFP responses. • Partner with litigation teams and firm leadership on third-party subpoenas, investigations, and internal legal needs. • Train and mentor associates and litigation teams on eDiscovery best practices, with a particular emphasis on privilege law and defensibility. Key Requirements of this Sr eDiscovery Attorney Role: • 7+ years of dedicated eDiscovery experience, ideally combined with active litigation practice at a peer or law firm. • Deep, demonstrable expertise in TAR, analytics, validation, and review statistics. • Strong command of privilege law, privilege review management, and privilege log negotiation. • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex, high-pressure reviews. • Strategic mindset - someone who thinks about why a workflow is defensible, not just how to run it. • Excellent communicator and collaborator, with the credibility to advise senior attorneys and clients. • Admission and good standing in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction. Why This Role Stands Out: • True strategic seat at the table - not a back-office support function. • Opportunity to shape firm-wide thinking on AI, TAR, and defensible review practices. • Exposure to elite matters, marquee clients, and cutting-edge legal technology. • Backed by leadership that is genuinely invested in eDiscovery as a core practice, not an afterthought. • A culture that is rare to see with a team that has matured as the firm has grown, with active tenure across the board, unlike any other Equal Opportunity Statement APT Search is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a workplace free from discrimination, providing fair consideration to all applicants regardless of background or protected status. This client is not accepting applicants who require visa sponsorship or H1-B visas due to the sensitivity of the position and the data managed.
