About The Role As the Developer Marketer Manager (Community, Creators, Influencers) at AppSignal, you will spearhead top-of-funnel growth by building a vibrant developer community and orchestrating influencer partnerships. In this role, you will manage the budget for developer-focused campaigns and programs, amplifying AppSignal’s presence in the popular programming language and devops communities. You will report directly to the CMO and collaborate closely with the marketing team to turn individual developer enthusiasm into broader adoption. Be a key part of a team that drives AppSignal’s growth and brand awareness and credibility among developers.. Key Responsibilities ● Influencer Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute a developer influencer marketing strategy to drive top-of-funnel awareness and product trials. Identify and partner with key developer content creators. Work with these creators to produce authentic, story-driven content (tutorial videos, live streams, blog posts, etc.) that showcases AppSignal’s value. Manage end-to-end campaign execution. ● Demand-Gen / Developer Marketing Campaigns: Demand Gen & Paid Dev Media: Run integrated campaigns that tie launches to creator/community activations (e.g., coordinated tutorial drops, coding challenges). Test and scale paid across Reddit Ads, Dev.to sponsorships, developer newsletters & podcast ads, and niche dev sites/communities—run in‑house where it fits and via specialist partners where it doesn’t, to reach the right developers at the right time. ● Community, Champions & Advocacy: Assist in building and nurturing AppSignal’s developer community across Slack/Discord, Dev.to, Reddit, Stack Overflow, GitHub, and language‑specific forums. Make advocacy programmatic. Turn community energy into fun stories for brand awareness. ● Analytics & Optimization: Make the numbers your co‑pilot. Set KPIs for traffic, engagement, community health, and trial/lead conversion. Turn insights into next‑week actions - scale winners, tune creative/targeting, sunset laggards, and route developer feedback to Product/Support so community signals shape the roadmap, docs, and onboarding. Qualifications ● 3+ years of experience in influencer marketing, social media, developer relations, or community management for technical products with demonstrated success driving awareness and growth ● Proven track record running influencer, social media, and content campaigns that delivered measurable results (sign-ups, traffic, engagement) ● Exceptional communication skills with the ability to craft developer-friendly narratives and create compelling content across multiple channels including social media, blogs, outreach emails, and technical discussions ● Data-driven approach with proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.) to track KPIs, interpret performance data, and refine strategies ● Cross-functional collaboration experience working effectively with design, product, engineering, and sales teams while managing influencer and partner relationships ● Self-starter mentality with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfort in fast-paced startup environments, and ability to manage priorities independently in remote settings Bonus Qualifications ● Domain expertise in observability, application monitoring (APM), or DevOps tooling. Understanding of performance monitoring and error tracking challenges to better connect with our developer audience and create more relevant content.
