The Role: The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to execute complex technical projects while providing strategic business insights for their assigned product area. This role requires strong matrix management skills, as the position involves coordinating teams across multiple departments without direct reporting authority. This is an on-site role, and only candidates in the Brooklyn Center, MN. or Grand Rapids, MI. areas will be considered. Key Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end project execution for customer purchase orders, including vendor procurement and internal manufacturing coordination. • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. • Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and other relevant departments. • Establish project communication protocols and ensure regular updates to all stakeholders. • Track project metrics and provide regular status reports to senior management. • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement throughout the entire organization. • Monitor customer needs to help direct project prioritization. • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and vendors. • Collaborate with sales and project teams to ensure timely and comprehensive customer communications. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency. • Support strategic decision-making through data analysis and industry knowledge. • Support VP of Operations in overall team leadership and strategic / tactical alignment. • Lead cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority. • Build strong working relationships across departments. • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members. • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to project success. • Coach and mentor team members to enhance project execution capabilities. • Create an environment of accountability while maintaining positive team dynamics. • Support and adhere to all safety procedures and complete all required safety training. • Identify and support improvement opportunities for processes to support company objectives and customer expectations. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to remain in a stationary position. • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. • Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Experience and Qualifications: • Associates's Degree required. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred. • 5+ years of Project Management experience in capital equipment builds is highly preferred. • Proven track record of successful project delivery in a matrix organization required. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management required. • Experience with project management software and tools required. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority required. • Experience in relevant technical industry and a background in both customer-facing and operational roles is highly preferred. • Experience with ERP systems, strategic thinking, business acumen, problem-solving and decision-making, and leadership and team building skill preferred. • Must have conflict resolution, negotiation, time management, organization, and risk management experience. • Experience with stakeholder management, change management, and technical aptitude is a must. • Ability to travel up to 20%-30% of the time.
