Our client is in search of a Field Service Technician whom has experience with the following: Experience repairing (50, 60, 400Hz) and power conversion (3-phase/single phase) equipment for marine branded products, which the client manufactures. Must be able to troubleshoot, perform, suggest, and expedite service requests and duties as assigned to achieve superior customer satisfaction. Must be able to also refer possible sales leads to sales management team. This position requires international travel, which is sponsored by the company via company credit card, and this position comes with a company laptop and cell phone and eventually a company van stocked with tools and equipment. This is a unique opportunity for a FST professional who loves to travel and is extraordinarily mechanically inclined. Responsibilities - Receive and/or return customer calls/emails regarding technical questions. Travel to and from customer base, as well as coordinate travel arrangements with management and support staff. Prepare for delivery of parts needed and correspond with the department manager when in the field. Service (troubleshoot, start-up, and repair) units in the field or factory. Train customers on safety and operation of units. Maintain complete records of service calls, both customer and internal. Maintain relationships with customers regarding service or modification actions required. Maintain relationships with other departments as required in areas related to service issues. Must be able to work overtime. Must be able to travel. Up to 50% travel both domestic, and international. Qualifications - Two years of electrical experience in 3-phase power systems. Able to read schematics for troubleshooting. Must be flexible and able to travel without prior notice. Must be fluent in English and have good communication, written, and computer skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and U.S. Passport or have the ability to obtain a U.S Passport. Must be highly safety conscious. Required Skills - Walk and/or stand, sit; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling. Use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation. Frequent lifting and/or moving; heavy lifting up to 90 lbs. Ability to maneuver in small spaces and reach high places. Regular exposure to three-phase high voltage while performing essential duties. Preferred Skills - Walk and/or stand, sit; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching. Use of hand for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation. Frequent lifting and/or moving; heavy lifting up to 90 lbs. Ability to maneuver in small spaces, and reach high places. While performing essential duties in this position, there is regular exposure to three phase high voltage. Education - Associate degree in electronics or equivalent technical experience gained through successful completion of an accredited trade school or military electronic based school.
