Summary: Under the direction of the Supply Planning Supervisor II, the Supply planner position oversees inventory and co-manufacture supply planning responsibilities for assigned plants and/or co-packers. The Supply planner maintains capacity plans, production schedules and/or finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, fill rates and cost objectives. A key part of the planning team the Supply planner will be an active participant in the weekly SIOP (S&OE) / monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes. Responsibilities also include minimizing inventory spoilage/overstocks and identifying ways to improve supply planning processes / tools for the assigned area. Furthermore, the Supply Planner provides supply planning expertise to the commercialization of new products or resolution of key inventory shortage issues. Essential Functions: • Accountable for successful collaboration with Sales and Co-manufacturers to prioritize and deliver products and services that meet or exceed the business needs • Develop detailed understanding of manufacturing constraints and capabilities of the manufacturing locations being planned • Proactively communicate with production facilities as well as Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning and Operations management through the weekly SIOP (S&OE) and monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes. • Oversee inventory and supply planning responsibilities for assigned co-manufacturers • Utilize systems to proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service and inventory issues • Ensure successful 'Promotion' execution by utilizing effective planning processes, system set-up, and communication with the cross functional teams • Collaborate with Demand Planning to translate IBP forecasts to SKU level supply plans • Proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service and inventory issues • Assess current inventory levels and forecasts to make appropriate business decisions that minimize costs and achieve corporate working capital and service level objectives • Track plant/business performance (KPIs) to the established supply chain plan Other Responsibilities Include: • Identifies ways to improve supply planning processes and tools for assigned areas • Perform other supply planning duties as needed Position Requirements: • Bachelors Degree (supply chain discipline or relevant/equivalent experience preferred) • 1 year production planning or logistics experience highly preferred (Internships or coop experience acceptable) • Experience with supply and demand planning systems preferred • Great attention to detail • Ability to make reasoned decisions based upon available information • Excellent interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment and with cross-functional teams • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications; Word, excel & PowerPoint. • ERP system experience – Oracle, O9, SAP systems highly preferred. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $23.25 - $32.50 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
