Lead and coordinate a team to manage application workflows, support users, and ensure issue resolution in a healthcare IT environment.
Associate degree or 3 years related experience, 3 years healthcare environment experience, IT skills preferred, strong communication and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Overview: Application Team Lead provides input to analyze, develop workflows, configure, test, implement and support their assigned applications. Coordinates and directs an assigned team to participate in system-wide activities while developing strong working partnerships with operational team members and across IT. The Team Lead will provide input to the performance and support any coaching initiatives of their assigned team members Responsibilities: 1. Serve as the day-to-day contact for their team members. Prioritizes, makes assignments, and conducts follow up to the team members. 2. Keeps immediate supervisor and others informed of all events affecting timeliness or barriers to complete requests. Escalates issues as needed to obtain resolution. 3. Provides oversight and, when necessary, assists in accomplishing activities and responsibilities of the team. 4. Collaborates with end users/stakeholders to map and develop workflows that promote positive patient outcomes. 5. Identifies and assists in resolution of issues arising in the assigned applications and/or projects. 6. Supports and executes the goals and guidelines established by IT and the organization. Strives for standardization and consistency in all areas. 7. Assures the team documents, tracks, and follows up on all reported problems, enhancement requests, and system change requests for their assigned application(s). 8. Assist in developing test scenarios and actively participates in testing events for any changes to the application. Provides follow up and documentation on any defects identified, this may include escalation to the vendor. 9. Works closely with the training team to provide current content for assigned areas and participates as needed. Qualifications: Education Associate degree required or a minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience in a related field (clinical, information technology, electronic medical record usage). Minimum Work Experience Three (3) years of experience in a health care environment required. Required Skills,Knowledge, and Abilities Information Technology experience/ability preferred. Must be able to communicate with users of all disciplines and across all levels of the organization. Microsoft Office skills required.
