Apogee Global RMS has a client who is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer who supports the design, implementation, and protection of cloud environments across major platforms. This role focuses on strengthening cloud security posture, supporting secure deployments, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings a balanced mix of cloud experience, security awareness, and hands‑on problem‑solving skills. Key Responsibilities Cloud Security & Operations Support the setup and maintenance of secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Assist with configuring access controls, permissions, and security policies. Monitor cloud environments for risks, misconfigurations, and unusual activity. Help maintain secure network configurations and data protection practices. Security Support & Incident Handling Participate in identifying and resolving cloud security issues. Assist with basic incident response activities and documentation. Support vulnerability reviews and remediation efforts. Cloud Infrastructure Support Assist with deploying cloud resources following security best practices. Support automation tasks and cloud configuration updates. Work with engineering and IT teams to ensure secure deployments. Compliance & Documentation Help maintain documentation for cloud environments, security controls, and procedures. Support compliance efforts aligned with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or organizational standards. Assist with audit preparation and evidence gathering. 2–5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure. Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments. Understanding of access management, basic networking, and cloud security concepts. Ability to troubleshoot cloud or security-related issues. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to security tools such as monitoring dashboards or alerting systems. Experience supporting regulated or public-sector environments. Basic scripting knowledge is helpful but not required. Cloud or security certifications are a plus Soft Skills Strong problem-solving mindset. Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams. High integrity and commitment to secure practices. Organized, reliable, and proactive.
