Role Overview Apica is hiring a Product Manager or Product Owner with experience delivering cloud (SaaS) Monitoring, Observability, and Telemetry systems. Reporting to the Chief Product & Technology Office, you will work closely with a small, high-performing team to sense market demands, analyze competitors, provide product direction, groom the backlog, own the roadmap, and ensure high-quality delivery of innovative enterprise-grade IT services. Key Responsibilities • Work directly with Field Sales, Architecture, Customers, Analysts, and other Stakeholders on product design, requirement gathering, revenue impacts, feature delivery, etc. • Own and maintain the product innovation and enhancement roadmap with special focus on delivering new features for Observability, Telemetry Pipeline, GenAI, and Agentic AI • Support Service Owner in driving service readiness, stability, resilience, and performance with SLA/SLO reviews, incident reviews, operational validation, and defect remediation • Partner with Engineering Leadership to ensure clear, detailed, testable, user stories with accurate scoping and estimates for all backlog product enhancement and defect tickets • Collaborate with CPTO, Service Owner, Sales, Success, Partnerships, and other key stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, technical debt, integrations, etc. onto roadmap • Partner with Engineering on development processes incl. feature grooming, sprint planning, functional testing, demo sessions, release planning, release retrospectives, etc. • Partner with CPTO, Program Office, Release Management, Engineering Leaders, and QA Captain/Coach to ensure on-time and in-scope product releases with 100% QA coverage. • Conduct and maintain market sensing incl. addressable markets, competitive offerings, gap analysis, analyst commentary, market positioning, build/buy/partner opportunity, etc. • Establish and maintain competitive intelligence for Product, Sales, and Marketing decisions incl. in-depth gap analyses, sales battle cards, pre-sales training, and sales enablement. • Collaborate with Executive Leadership, esp. CEO, CTO and COO, on Partnerships and M&A, incl. investment theses, build/buy/partner roadmap, integration plans, due diligence, etc. • Partner with Sales and Marketing on persona and use case documentation, sales collateral, release notes, press releases, product imagery, blog content, media materials etc. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 3-5 years as Product Manager or Product Owner for Enterprise SaaS serving personas in IT Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Administration, Data Center Operations. • Demonstrable experience in Monitoring and Observability w/ e.g. Cribl, EdgeDelta, Mezmo, Chronosphere, Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Elasticsearch, Observe, etc. • Proven success planning, building, and delivering solutions for personas in enterprise IT Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Administration, Data Center Operations. • Familiarity with AI for IT Operations (‘AIOps’) use cases, incl. delivering new features leveraging Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, AIOps, Generative AI, or Agentic AI • Familiarity with technologies for processing IT Operations data (incl. Metrics, Events, Logs, Traces, Spans) incl. Telemetry Pipelines, Kafka, OpenTelemetry, eBPF, Cloudwatch, etc. • Demonstrated experience with Atlassian solutions as primary development and roadmap planning solution, incl. at a minimum expert-level experience with Jira and Confluence • Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills, ability to work remotely and asynchronously across cultures and time zones (w/ Europe, India). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with IT Infrastructure Management (ITIM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Service Management (ITSM), Problem and Incident Management, AI for IT Ops (AIOps), Application Performance Management (APM), Synthetic Transaction Monitoring (STM), Real User Monitoring (RUM), Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM), Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), or Security Automation and Orchestrated Response (SOAR). • Experience with ‘traditional’ IT Operations Management/Monitoring solutions incl. from Broadcom, Symantec, CA Technologies, BMC Software, IBM, EMC, ScienceLogic, Solarwinds, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), VMware, Microsoft, Ivanti, HCL, Red Hat, Dell, etc. • Familiarity with cloud-native IT Operations technologies incl. Cloud platforms (esp. AWS, OCI, Azure), Kubernetes, Amazon S3, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, etc. • Experience with complex ‘big data’ technologies and related solutions including data collection, storage, indexing, transformation, backup, archive, retrieval, and management. • Familiarity with DevOps, Agile, and SRE practices/tools incl. SLIs/SLOs, CI/CD automation, Spotify Model, blameless postmortem, Harness, Terraform, Ansible, PagerDuty, etc. Competitive Salary and Comprehensive Benefits Package Compensation: $165,000 USD OTE (incl base + bonus) plus benefits.
