Position: Business Systems Analyst (Credit & Loan Systems) Industry: Banking Location: Remote (U.S. Based) Employment Type: W2 Contract, potential for FTE after 12 months Pay: W2 $50-60/hr Level: Mid-Senior Overview We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in credit and loan systems to support a growing portfolio of projects within a leading U.S. bank. This role sits within the Credit Administration Technology team and will focus on translating business requirements into technical specifications, supporting systems integration testing, and ensuring high-quality delivery of technology solutions. This is a mid-senior level role ideal for someone who understands the financial services industry, particularly loan origination, credit risk rating, and portfolio management. Key Responsibilities Translate pre-written business requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements Work closely with product partners to understand business logic and integration needs Participate in Jira and Confluence documentation processes; use ServiceNow for incident and request tracking Support backlog grooming and Agile ceremonies; write user stories when needed Perform systems integration testing (SIT) and support quality assurance efforts as needed. Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to system processes and data flow Provide operational support documentation and contribute to process improvements Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst Recent experience working for a Bank or Financial Institution Strong understanding of credit, loans, loan origination, and portfolio management Adept at requirements gathering, documentation and translating to user stories and technical specifications Experience working in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments Experience performing systems integration testing (SIT) Proficiency with Jira, Confluence (or SharePoint), and ServiceNow Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience with CNI, CMN, or similar credit systems Familiarity with Stucky or LoanIQ SQL knowledge for querying and validating data Soft Skills Able to work independently with minimal guidance Enjoys collaborating in a team environment Strong communication skills and professional presence Comfortable working with diverse personalities and confident in sharing ideas Apex Benefits Overview Apex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection.
