Install, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases, implement backup and recovery plans, and develop automation scripts.
Extensive experience with Oracle databases, including 8+ years as a DBA, proficiency with Oracle tools and utilities, and strong SQL/PLSQL skills, with a preference for Oracle certifications.
Required: Experience working with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment (3+ years) Experience as a Database Administrator with Oracle, preferably 19C and Cloud (8+ years); Experience with database backup procedures and recovery systems; Experience with Oracle tools and utilities, including Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Oracle Data Guard, Oracle SQL Developer, and Toad; Experience with SQL and PL/SQL and ability to write complex queries; Experience working with system administrators and application developers while troubleshooting issues; Preferred: A four-year degree in a computer science related field Oracle DBA certification. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Install, maintain, and update Oracle database software, including patches and service packs. Create secure database structures and set up user accounts. Implement and manage backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss. Optimize database performance and minimize downtime. Develop automation scripts for routine database tasks. Perform regular tests to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity. Write and maintain technical procedures and documentation.
