Job Title: Cloud & Datacenter Engineer Location-Remote Job Summary: The Cloud & Datacenter Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of systems while supporting hybrid environments and driving infrastructure modernization. Key Responsibilities: • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform • Maintain and optimize on-premises datacenter systems including servers, storage, and networking • Configure and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively address issues • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) • Ensure security best practices across cloud and datacenter environments (identity management, patching, vulnerability remediation) • Support network configuration including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers • Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams for deployments and integrations • Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows Server) • Experience with virtualization and storage technologies • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls) Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator) Key Skills: • Cloud architecture and hybrid infrastructure • System and network administration • Automation and scripting • Troubleshooting and performance tuning • Security and compliance awareness
