Drone Trainer – Cleaning & Painting Systems Location: Jacksonville, Florida (On-site, with up to 25–50% domestic/international travel) Position Overview: The Drone Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive hands-on training for industrial cleaning and painting drone systems. This position ensures operators are properly trained in safety, flight control, maintenance, and best practices for drone operation in various industrial and commercial environments. Candidates must possess a valid FAA Part 107 Pilot Certificate, a strong background in UAV flight operations, and a passion for teaching and technology. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct training programs for operating cleaning and painting drone systems. • Deliver both theoretical and practical flight instruction, including pilot operations, safety protocols, and system maintenance. • Provide initial and recurrent training for internal staff, customers, and distributors. • Train operators on compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and local aviation laws during international operations. • Customize training programs for specific use cases (e.g., ship hull cleaning, building façade painting, infrastructure maintenance). • Support equipment commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting during training deployment. • Assist in curriculum development and updates as drone technology evolves. • Provide technical expertise during demonstrations, customer onboarding, and trade show events. • Maintain detailed training records, evaluation reports, and feedback summaries. • Travel domestically/internationally (up to 25–50%) to deliver onsite training and technical support. Qualifications: Required: FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate in good standing. Residence: Based in or near Jacksonville, Florida. Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on UAV flight experience, preferably with industrial or heavy-lift drones. Prior instructional or technical training experience strongly preferred. Background in cleaning, painting, coating, or inspection operations is advantageous. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in flight control systems. • Understanding of drone maintenance, calibration, and safety procedures. • Ability to diagnose and resolve common UAV operational issues. • Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. • Proficiency in cleaning (soft wash & power wash) preferred. Soft Skills: • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Patience and clarity in teaching complex technical material. • High adaptability to different cultures and international conditions. Physical & Work Requirements: • Ability to travel for training sessions (up to 50% of the time). • Comfortable working outdoors around industrial sites, vessels, and large infrastructure. • Capable of lifting drone equipment and accessories (up to 60 lbs).
