The Role We’re looking for a world-class Blockchain Tech Lead with deep expertise in Solana, SVM architecture, and high-performance DeFi systems. This is a senior technical leadership position responsible for architecting the core trading engine, ensuring system reliability at scale, and building the next wave of innovative trading features. You will guide the engineering team, define technical standards, and work directly with founders to design and deliver a category-defining Web3 product. What You’ll Lead • Architecting & scaling high-throughput Solana/SVM smart contract systems • Designing on-chain perps infrastructure, order execution flows, and risk engines • Building ultra-low latency tooling for trading, wallet interactions, and data streaming • Integrating cross-chain messaging, tokenized assets, and oracle frameworks • Leading backend engineers, reviewing architecture, and ensuring best-in-class security • Designing APIs, microservices, caching layers, indexers, and data pipelines • Ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across all DeFi components • Collaborating with product, frontend, and founders on feature architecture • Conducting audit prep, threat modeling, and security reviews • Driving technical sprints, code quality, and engineering velocity • Owning the tech roadmap for all blockchain components What We’re Looking For Must-Haves • 4+ years blockchain engineering experience (Solana or similar high-performance chains) • Deep understanding of SVM, Sealevel parallelism, runtime optimizations • Strong experience with Rust, Solana programs, PDAs, Anchor framework • Experience building DeFi primitives: perps, AMMs, liquidity engines, risk systems • Experience with indexers, RPC optimization, real-time data streaming • Expertise deploying & maintaining production-grade smart contracts • Strong understanding of security, audits, and threat models • Leadership experience mentoring engineers or leading technical decisions • Ability to architect complex systems end-to-end with clean, scalable design Bonus / Highly Valued • Experience building trading platforms or high-frequency execution systems • Experience with orderbooks, taker/maker engines, oracles, MEV mitigation • Backend expertise: Go, Node, microservices, Kafka, Redis, AWS • Knowledge of Base, EVM, cross-chain infra • Previous startup, DeFi, or exchange experience
