Role Overview: Ankura, a global expert services and advisory firm, is seeking a dynamic Executive Director of Marketing & Communications to join its global Marketing & Communications team to support its business in the Americas. This is a newly created senior leadership role for a marketing executive with 15+ years of experience driving marketing strategy, tactical execution and measurable business impact. This successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership and Marketing team colleagues to translate business and brand strategy into high-impact integrated marketing campaigns. This role requires a leader who can quickly build trusted relationships, align senior stakeholders, and balance strategic direction with hands-on leadership and execution. As the Executive Director of Marketing for the Americas, you will serve as the lead Marketer for one or more Business Groups within the Firm as well as manage a high-performing team of fellow marketing generalists (“Marketers”), each of whom support a division within the Firm. You will collaborate with the Marketers, regional Marketing leads and the business leaders they support to help set strategy, execute campaigns and deliver measurable results. You will foster a team culture that encourages innovation and collaboration and act as a strategic coach to help Marketers devise effective go-to-market strategies and design integrated, multichannel campaigns, troubleshooting challenges to achieve business goals. Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy Serve as a trusted marketing and communications advisor to senior leaders, subject matter experts and colleagues. Identify strategic priorities of the Firm and align them into a clear, unified marketing strategy that supports long-term organic growth. Translate strategy into integrated marketing campaigns to achieve market positioning and brand differentiation. Take ownership of day-to-day marketing leadership and execution, maintaining strategic alignment, executional momentum and high performance across the global marketing team. Brand, Reputation & Market Presence Strengthen and evolve Ankura’s global brand through clear, consistent messaging and strong brand governance. Expand executive and firmwide visibility through compelling thought leadership, PR, content, digital engagement, events, awards and recognitions. Ensure marketing campaigns clearly communicate and reflect Ankura’s expertise, credibility and differentiation in priority markets. Marketing Operations Work with MarCom team members to design and implement a marketing operating model that streamlines ownership, workflows and decision-making. Apply a proactive, change-oriented approach that shifts the MarCom function from a request-driven support model toward a strategic enabler, partnering with leadership to shape strategy and drive business impact. Strengthen cross-firm coordination to align and optimize MarCom activities and investments across industries, solutions, business groups and practices for maximum impact. Build and refine scalable marketing processes that enable speed, quality and consistency across business groups and improve planning, prioritization, delivery and measurement. Global Collaboration & Cross-Regional Integration Collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Marketing for EMEA/APAC to create strong alignment across the regions. Encourage cross-firm and cross-team knowledge sharing through a regular cadence of communications and touchpoints, best-practice playbooks and centers of excellence. Share regional insights, innovations and performance metrics, regularly celebrate successes, and scale what works globally to elevate overall marketing performance. Technology, Data and Process Improvement Leverage data, analytics and market intelligence to inform decisions and optimize marketing investments, campaigns and performance. Apply AI-enabled tools and insights to improve targeting, personalization, efficiency and speed across marketing programs while scaling best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and learning across the marketing function. Qualifications The preferred candidate is a senior marketing leader with deep experience building and leading high-performing marketing functions within complex, global professional services organizations. 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, including senior leadership roles with an Americas or global scope. Extensive experience within consulting, advisory, legal or accounting environments, with a strong understanding of partnership models and relationship-driven growth. Demonstrated success designing and leading integrated marketing strategies, campaigns and operating models aligned to business objectives. Strong experience overseeing campaign planning, execution and performance measurement, with the ability to connect marketing activity to KPIs, pipeline and ROI. Fluency with digital marketing ecosystems and platforms, including CRM, CMS, marketing automation and analytics tools. Experience leveraging AI-enabled marketing tools to improve efficiency, insight and marketing performance, with sound judgment around responsible use. Proven ability to work with, influence and advise senior executives, partners, stakeholders, subject matter experts and colleagues across a global organization. High emotional intelligence and executive presence, with the ability to lead through complexity, build trust and drive alignment. Highly organized and execution-oriented, comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, managing multiple priorities, teams and initiatives simultaneously, with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to quickly synthesize new information and translate emerging trends, technologies and best practices to enhance marketing effectiveness. Extensive experience applying change management principles to successfully introduce, scale and embed new marketing programs, processes and initiatives globally. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Ankura, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role.
